There is no need to “reinvent the wheel.”

Lafayette Education Foundation’s Model Grants and Incubator Programs give Lafayette Parish educators
the ability to foster and share best practices from within the parish and beyond.

LEF is currently accepting Letters of Intent for both Model Grants and Incubator Programs. The goal of LEF Model Grants is to duplicate programs and projects that have proven to be successful within Lafayette Parish schools. The goal of Incubator Programs is to implement potentially successful programs and projects that have not yet been implemented in Lafayette Parish schools.

“This is a great way for teachers to share ideas and successful educational initiatives within our parish through Model Grants,” says LEF Executive Director, Etienna Wright. “Additionally, teachers who have attended conferences or have contacts outside of Lafayette who are seeing results from programs can try to bring those ideas here through Incubator Programs. We want to encourage teachers to think outside the box about how to provide creative and innovative approaches to learning for the students of Lafayette Parish.”

Educators interested in Model Grants or Incubator Programs may submit a Letter of Intent at lefoundation.org/grants. This LOI is basic information about program viability and goals. Applicants may be asked to submit a more detailed proposal upon LEF’s review of the LOI. Selected programs will be implemented in the 2019-2020 school year.
