Hopefuls met with dozens of employers today at two Acadiana job fairs.

The first began at 9 a.m. at the Heymann Center in Lafayette.

More than 50 regional employers were there to screen potential job candidates at the Acadiana Diversity Job Fair.

“The Acadiana Diversity Job Fair is an excellent opportunity to meet face to face with hiring managers from multiple employers all on one day and in one place,” says Ryan LaGrange, Manager of Workforce Development at the Lafayette Economic Development Authority. “Every year, we hear success stories following the job fair from both job seekers and employers. This event has a tremendous impact on the community, assisting both job seekers and businesses.”

An hour later, the City of Franklin and South Louisiana Community College Franklin Campus hosted the Franklin Career Fair Tuesday at the City Park Recreation Center.

To make sure job seekers are ready to interact with potential employers at the Franklin Career Fair, South Louisiana Community College Franklin Campus also hosted a Job Readiness Workshop.
