The Lafayette Science Museum will hold a grand opening event for their brand new “Discover Store” on Saturday, October 6.
The celebratory grand opening will take place from 10:00 am until 6:00 pm at the new store located in the lobby of the museum on Jefferson Street in Downtown Lafayette.
During the grand opening, the science museum says that shoppers will be able to register to win prizes and special discounts. There will also be free activities for kids and goodie bags available for those who arrive early.
The store was created in partnership with Big Boy Toys and Hobbies.
“For the first time in almost a decade, Lafayette Science Museum has reintroduced a store right in our lobby with products, games and souvenirs each chosen for their ties to museum exhibits and programs,” said LSM Director Kevin Krantz in a press release. “We are ecstatic to welcome museum visitors, tourists and downtown shoppers to this new retail space.”
The store will be open from Tuesday thru Friday each week from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and on Sundays from 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm.
