A state Wildlife and Fisheries Agent had a shock while driving down Eraste Landry this morning.
The agent saw a toddler walking on the side of the road, alone, a spokesman said. He pulled over, gathered up the child and called police, the spokesman said.
A relative of the child who has legal custody of the toddler was issued a summons for child endangerment by Lafayette Police.
