A pedestrian who was seriously injured in a car crash near LSU this weekend is a former UL student.
The accident happened on Nicholson Drive near South Stadium Drive, according to State Police Troop A spokesman Senior Trooper Bryan Lee.
The pedestrian, Blake Cordes, 19, attended UL for one semester. He was a student during the Fall 2017 semester, records at the University indicate. He is not currently a UL student, the records show.
Lee said the driver was tested at the scene and wasn’t impaired, but investigators suspect Cordes was impaired at the time of the accident.
