The Scott Fire Department says they responded to a residential fire on Tuesday morning in the 200 block of Vatican Square Drive.
Firefighters say that upon arrival they observed fire emitting from a recreational vehicle that they say was being used as a permanent residence.
The fire was put out but the department says the structure was a total loss.
An investigation revealed that the fire was caused by short in an electrical extension cord that was plugged into a window air conditioning unit. The fire has been ruled an accident.
No one was home at the time of the fire. One firefighter received minor injuries while fighting the fire and is expected to make a full recovery, according to the department.
