Basin Arts offered an information session today for a new project, Bare Walls.
The project teams up visual artists and local businesses who would like art installations. The program puts the two groups together to turn bare business walls into gallery space.
BARE Walls is an affordable way to support local artists while gaining a more beautiful and inspiring work-space, organizers say.
“Whatever space you have, we’re trying to gallerize it and then rotate the artwork,” explains Dirk Guidry, coordinator of the program. “So it has that gallery feel, that art work feel to it and of course its high quality local artists, there’s people behind it and that’s what we’re trying to do. Raise the value of local art in the community.”
Today, Basin Arts hosted a meeting for visual artists to tell them about the program. For more info, click here.
