Louisiana State Trooper Thomas Gossen joined KATC this morning to share information on car seat safety and an upcoming Car Seat Safety Check event to be held next Saturday, September 15 in Lafayette.
Louisiana State Police Troop I is partnering with several organizations to hold a Car Seat Safety event from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm at Women’s and Children’s Specialty Clinic located at 4704 Ambassador Caffery Parkway in Lafayette. Nationally certified technicians will be on hand to inspect and properly install car seats.
The event is free to all those who attend. The event is sponsored by UMC of New Orleans, the Louisiana Highway Safety Commission and the Louisiana Passenger Task Force.
If you can’t make it out to the event on Saturday, LSP Troop I does offer free car seat installations every Wednesday at their offices on Pont Des Mouton Road in Lafayette from 8:00 am to 12:00 pm.
