The Lafayette Parish School Board has voted tonight on providing approved money for two proposals in the Parish.
First, Lafayette Parish school bus drivers will be getting a boost in their supplemental pay.
The school board voted Wednesday to increase that supplement from $3,000 to $5,000. At that meeting, the board also approved eight new bus driver positions to cover new routes.
Also on Wednesday night, nearly two million dollars was approved for additional classrooms at the new Billeaud Elementary School.
The school has started construction out in Broussard
