Broussard Police seeking man wanted in May slaying

Broussard Police are asking for assistance in locating a man wanted on a warrant for second-degree murder.

Clarence Celestine Jr., 20, is named in a warrant in connection with the May shooting death of Leon Williams Jr., 24, of Duson. Williams was found at an apartment complex on Leon Street in Broussard.

This afternoon, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office assisted Broussard Police in attempting to execute the warrant at a home on Radcliffe Street, where it is believed Celestine is staying. He wasn’t there, officials say.

They’re now asking for anyone with information about Celestine’s whereabouts is asked to call Broussard Police at 837-6259, the Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office at 232-9211 or Crime Stoppers at 232-TIPS.
