The Lafayette Parish School Board will vote on adding additional funding for construction of a new elementary school in Broussard tomorrow night.
The cost for the building addition for Billeaud Elementary School is $1,823,188 and the additional design fee is $121,382. The project architect has reviewed the contractor’s cost proposal and has recommended acceptance.
The capacity of the school before this change order is 750 students and these additional classrooms will increase the capacity to approximately 860 students.
Funding for this change order is available within the project’s budget, according to the Board’s agenda item.
