The Lafayette Department of Public Works says that the Lebesque Road bridge will be closed for 8 months as crews work to remove and replace the existing structure.
Officials say that the closure will begin on Tuesday, September 4. The bridge is located 500 feet west of Brothers Road
The department says that detour routes have been established.
