Lafayette Police say they responded to an incident on West Congress near Adrien’s Supermarket in Lafayette. That scene is now clear.
Witnesses tell KATC that numerous officers blocked off the area around West Congress going towards Lafayette High around 7:00 p.m.
Police tell us that they were looking for a suspect wanted for stealing a bicycle or motorcycle. The area is being cleared and no suspect was found.
