Festival International de Louisiane has officially opened the application process for the 2019 Visual Artist.
Each year, the selected Official Artist creates a piece that serves as the visual inspiration for the pin and poster design, t-shirts and other merchandise.
There are no boundaries for accepted art forms, and there is even the option to apply with fellow artists as a collaborative concept. Diversity is key each year, and the Festival organizers say they want 2019 to bring in something new and exciting.
“We are looking for an artist who is familiar with Festival’s rich history and has a passion for bringing the magical experience to life. Our team is totally open to fresh ideas and mediums, so be creative! We would love to hear about artists’ visions and why they would be a perfect match for Festival,” said Festival Marketing Coordinator Carly Viator.
Applications are accepted until September 10, 2018.
Upon selection, artist(s) will have 2 weeks to submit sketches of their concept for approval. After approval, the commissioned artwork is to be completed within 4 weeks.
