The Lafayette Women’s Chamber of Commerce hosted a kick-off event today.
It was held about six months before the group had initially planned to start accepting members, but the interest was out there, so organizers decided to go for it.
The event was held in downtown Lafayette at Dat Dog.
Founders Debbey Ryan, Elaine Alderman, and Anita Link say this is their first membership drive and fundraiser. The Women’s Chamber will officially launch in January 2019.
There was a brief presentation on the chamber and a silent auction.
