Businesses and individuals from across Acadiana come together to host a day of fun and games in support of families coping with cancer.
The Perret family hosted the first Games of Acadiana in 2001 after their son, Miles, passed away of cancer in 1996.
The success of the event helped the family start Miles Perret Cancer Services to offer resources and compassion to those families going through what they went through with Miles years earlier.
At the free event, there’s no shortage of things to do with over 50 games and activities for those in attendance.
The big event opened with a Survivor Walk to honor those surviving and living with cancer.
