Jeff Davis Sheriff’s deputies arrested a Jennings man this weekend and accused him of impersonating a police officer.

Christopher Mathew Villanueva, 32, was booked with false personation of a peace officer.

His arrest followed an investigation that began when deputies were shown a Facebook video of a man in a sheriff’s uniform. There were two other men in the video with him, a spokesman said.

Sunday evening, a deputy on patrol found the two men, and when questioned they denied knowing the person wearing the uniform or his location, the spokesman said.

Wilbert Lewis Jr., 31, and Luke Freeman, 37, both of Jennings, were booked with aiding and abetting the fraudulent portrayal of an officer or firefighter. Lewis also was booked with an outstanding warrant for disturbing the peace and resisting an officer.

Later that night, deputies located the man they say is shown in the video wearing the uniform, and arrested Villanueva.
