The Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office responded Saturday night to the call of an armed robbery at a Dollar General on Hwy 26 in Jennings
Deputies say employees of the store told them that a robber, identified as a black male wearing a blue handkerchief, black pants, and hoodie, entered the store around 9:00 pm on January 12. According to deputies, the suspect robbed two employees at gunpoint before leaving the store in a maroon colored truck.
The manager of the store reported to deputies that the man got away with approximately $1,533.90 in cash.
Surveillance footage at the store captured the image of the man. Deputies say they are searching for a black male with a deep voice.
