Police say that the stabbing occurred on Saturday, December 29, at around 9:00 pm at the Market Basket grocery store located on Russel Avenue. Witness told officers that a man was attacking another man with a knife in the parking lot of the store.

Upon arrival, police located a victim who had been stabbed multiple times in the back. Police say Jackson and the victim had an argument at a residence on Russel Avenue and that Jackson chased the victim to the stores parking lot located about six blocks away before stabbing him.

Jackson was arrested and booked into the Jefferson Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office
