Historical planes used in World War II are on display for viewing at the Jennings Airport today.

There are dozens of Stearman airplanes on the grounds, including their most famous: the Boeing-Stearman Model 75.

The Boeing Stearman served as a primary trainer for the United States Army Air Forces, the United States Navy (as the NS & N2S), and the Royal Canadian Air Force (as the Kaydet) throughout WWII.

The planes will be taking off this afternoon to demonstrate formation flying.

Guests are also welcome to meet the pilots.

The event is going on until 3 p.m.

Concessions and merchandise are available for purchase.

The airport grounds are located off of I-10 behind the Days Inn.
