A prominent Jeanerette businesswoman has died.
Lillian “Lil” Richard Robinson, owner of Lil’s Kitchen in Jeanerette, was 78.
She died on Sunday, her granddaughter Rosemary Carmouche tells us.
“To know her was to love her,” Carmouche says. “She was loved throughout the City Of Jeanerette. The best cook in town. She was the life of the party. She was brave, jolly, phenomenal, strong, beautiful, and a woman of God.”
The family is asking for prayers.
Carmouche tells KATC that a service will be held Sunday, April 14 at 7:00 p.m. at Morning Pilgrim Baptist Church. The funeral will follow at the West St. Mary Civic Center on Monday, April 15 at 1:00 p.m.
