Iberia Parish has reported a number of power outages and flooded roads as a result of strong storms Thursday morning.

The Iberia Parish Office of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness says that there are currently no reports of homes damaged but a number of outages have been reported, affecting numerous areas.

Currently, CLECO is working to bring power back to those areas.

Hwy 182 is blocked near Darnall Road because of leaning power poles. There are several powerlines that are down in that area as well.

OHEP says that one nursing home had some water in it but the Fire Department says that it was not necessary for evacuation. They are currently cleaning up about 3 to 4 inches of water in the lobby of the building. Residents have been moved accordingly.
