The annual St. Patrick’s Day March and Celebration put on by the New Iberia Marching Men begins this afternoon.

Marchers will be gathering around 1 p.m. to get ready for the annual march that starts at 520 E. Main Street and ends at the Jefferson Street intersection.

The march begins at 3 p.m., with participants spreading good luck and Irish cheer in the form of doubloons, beads, candy and carnations.

After the march, there will be a St. Patrick’s Day toast at Beau Soleil, and a benefit raffle later at 6 p.m.

Move to Bourbon Hall for the Annual Benefit Raffle at 6:00 pm.

The Marching Men are the ones who made sure the City Hall fountain turned green this weekend. For more information on the group, click here.
