New Iberia Police have arrested two in connection with a Saturday night shooting on Mississippi Street, according to a post on the department’s Facebook page.
The shooting was the third in the city within a 48-hour period; two of them were near Mississippi Street.
This shooting happened about 9 p.m. Saturday.

Police arrested Tresean Jones Jr., 20, and a 15-year-old. They were both booked with attempted second-degree murder and illegal use of weapons; Jones also was booked with being a felon in possession of a firearm, the post states.
Detectives are currently working on arrests warrants for five other suspects, so more arrests are expected, the post states.
Jones was booked into Iberia Parish Jail and the teen was booked into Lafayette Juvenile Detention Center.
