A man walking across the US encouraging prayer made a stop in Iberia Parish.
Patrick Spencer started his journey in Lancaster California in August of 2018. His end goal is Washington, DC.
Now on day 161, Spencer was in New Iberia on Wednesday. His mission is to encourage prayer in the communities he visits.
On his Instagram, Spencer posts about the places he has been and the people he meets focusing on their faith and the stories they share.
“There are so many people out there that are wonderful in spite of all they have gone thru. This, in my opinion, is how God truly molds people to be better men and women,” Spencer writes in a post about a New Iberia man who offered him a ride.
Spencer took this same path about 11 years ago, meeting some of the same people along the way.
