The State Fire Marshal’s Office is investigating a fatal fire past Jeanerette.
St. Mary Parish Fire District #11 responded to the call on Inez Drive off Hwy. 318 around 2:00 p.m. Thursday. The Baldwin Fire Department says the fire is located in the Sorrel community.
Investigators have confirmed that one man has died in that fire. No identity has been released.
