The City of Jeanerette has announced the planned flushing of hydrants in the city next week.
Flushing will be necessary to clear sediment and debris from the water system, according to officials. There will be no interruption of water service as a result of the work but some drop in pressure or discoloration may be possible.
It is recommended that customers let their cold water run to clear before using it again and refrain from doing laundry during that time if any issues arise.
