Two arrested in connection with an October shooting in New Iberia

New Iberia Police say a man and a juvenile have been arrested in connection with a shooting on St. Joseph Street.

Police say that shooting happened on October 29, 2018, in the 1500 block of St. Joseph Street. There are no earlier reports of this shooting in our records.

Monday evening, January 14, 2019, 25-year-old Tredarious Gibson was arrested, charged with attempted second-degree murder, illegal use of weapons, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, aggravated criminal damage to property, and aggravated assault with a firearm.

Gibson was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail.

A juvenile, who has not been identified, has also been arrested on the charges of principal to attempted second-degree murder, principal to aggravated criminal damage to property, and principal to aggravated assault with a firearm.

The juvenile is being held in a juvenile facility.

One other person Devondrick Harding was arrested the night of the shooting. Harding was booked on charges of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon, possession of a firearm in the presence of a controlled dangerous substance, illegal possession of a stolen firearm, and possession of a schedule II controlled dangerous substance.

Harding is currently in the Iberia Parish Jail.
