The community can help provide toys for children this holiday season while getting some entertainment.
A group in New Iberia will be hosting a truck and car show on Saturday, December 15, 2018, at the Slaughta House Audio Shop.
Two toys, one for a girl and one for a boy are asked to be donated to Toys for Tots. These toys will be used for entry into the car show.
Organizers say they want to help give back to families this year who are struggling and get the community together.
The will have a Top 25 awards for participants. There will also be door prizes, 50/50 raffle, a live DJ, and a gumbo cook-off. For those hoping to compete in the cookoff, organizers say the fee is $25 to enter. Teams of three people may enter. There will be a first place cash prize.
