Veterans in Iberia Parish are remembering the lives lost in the attack on Pearl Harbor.
New Iberia’s Veterans of Foreign Affairs gathered on the 77th anniversary of the Battle of Pearl Harbor at Bouligny Plaza.
An attendee says it’s important not to take what this country has for granted.
“Pearl Harbor was something that was devastating to our whole country. You know, they came on our land. Most of the time, all of the wars were fought away from us. This was on our land in America. And, it’s something that we should always remember because it could possibly happen again.
