New Iberia resident Gladys Boutte crochets hats.

For the past four years, she’s been crocheting hats for the children of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, and mailing them. This year, her family made sure she was able to deliver them in person.

Last week the 88-year-old and her family drove to the hospital in Memphis to deliver the hats in person.

Gladys wasn’t able to be around the children, because of their compromised immune systems. However, she was able to personally deliver her gifts to the hospital.

We’ll have more about Gladys and her mission tonight on KATC TV3.
