New Iberia Police say an abandoned vehicle was found containing illegal narcotics and a handgun
Police say that shortly before noon on November 27, 2018, officers followed up on information at a residence on Pelican Street, in reference to an abandoned vehicle containing illegal narcotics.
Officers say they recovered close to one pound of suspected marijuana and a handgun.
The investigation is continuing and all evidence will be sent to the Crime Lab for analysis.
