An arrest has been made in connection with an August shooting in New Iberia that left one person hospitalized.
New Iberia police say they arrested Charmaine Mouton on November 16 on a warrant for two counts of Attempted First Degree Murder. Mouton is accused of playing part in a shooting that occurred at the intersection of Mississippi Street and Cletus Street on August 5. The victim was was treated for a non-life-threatening injury.
Mouton was booked into the Iberia Parish Jail. Bond has been set at $300,000.
