The Sugarcane festival is underway in Iberia Parish.
The festival’s fairgrounds opened Wednesday evening with rides and food. More events are scheduled throughout the weekend and residents say they’re thrilled for the festival.
The fun will be held at the festival’s new fair location, the site of the old Iberia Parish Sugar Co-op at 901 Sugar Mill Road
