The Iberia Parish Sheriff’s Office says that one person was shot during an argument at a Dollar General located in the 6000 block of LA 14 on Wednesday night.
Deputies say the shooting occurred just before 10:00 pm.
One person was shot in the head during the incident that deputies say began because of an argument inside the store. The victim was transported to a Lafayette hospital. Their condition is currently unknown.
A suspect was located after the incident and was questioned by investigators.
The investigation is ongoing and more information is expected to be released at a later time.
