Officials with the City of Jeanerette say they are planning to flush the water system and fire hydrants tomorrow, September 26 and Thursday, September 27.
The operations will be conducted during the hours of 9:00 pm and 12:00 pm. Officials say that the flushing is necessary to clear sediments and debris from the city’s water system. The city says that water services will not cease during the operations.
Customers may experience a drop in pressure or discolored water for a short period while flushings are taking place. Officials say that customers experiencing discolored water should run their cold water until the water runs clear again and refrain from using it until it does.
