A new restaurant will soon be opening on North University in Lafayette.
A few years ago, Country Cuisine closed its doors and now the building has new ownership. The owners plan to open a seafood restaurant called Mai Seafood.
An opening date has not been set, but Developing Lafayette estimates the restaurant will be open within the next few weeks.
The building is located at 709 N. University. The Advocate reports that the adjoining lot, at 1001 Madeline Avenue, was also included in the sale.
