Conference to help solve 1968 cold case of Ville Platte mother

The Hotel Cazan in Mamou is sponsoring a weekend conference February 1 to 3 hoping to solve the cold case of a young mother who went missing in May of 1968.

Alice Marie Reeves

Alice Marie Reeves brought her infant daughter to a baby sitter in Mamou and was never seen again. Her last known address was New Street in Ville Platte.

The keynote speaker will be Tim Miller, founder and head of Texas EquuSearch.

Schedule of events:

Friday Feb 1, 6PM-9PM Reception for speakers & guests

Saturday, Feb 2, 11AM-5PM Panel discussions with Q&A from the audience. Breaks and refreshments will be provided during the day.

Sunday, Feb 3, 11AM-11: 45 AM Ceremony Of Remembrance in honor of National Missing Persons Day

There is no cost for daily attendance.
