One person has been arrested in the shooting death of a Ville Platte man on Thursday night.
Police Chief Neal Lartigue says the shooting happened at an apartment complex on North Soileau Street around 9:00 p.m. Officers say that when they arrived they found 27-year-old Terry Serie Jr. with multiple gun shot wounds. He was pronounced dead on the scene.
Detectives have arrested 19-year-old Tyron Jack in connection with the shooting. Jack was booked on charges of second degree murder and attempted second degree murder.
