The House of Deliverance Ministries will hold their SOS (Save Our Streets, Save Our Souls) event this weekend in Ville Platte at Chief Hargrove Park.
The event begins at 9:00 am on Saturday, August 3.
Organizers say the event is open to all members of the community and that the focus is one bringing everyone together to show solidarity with one another.
Pastors from around the Ville Platte area will be on hand at the event to share the message that they are there for their community and that the members of the community are ready to take back their streets and lift up their children by acting as role models for a better future.
The event will feature music, drinks, motivational speaking and information about local resources and tools in the community that can get people on the right path.
