One Acadiana bank is giving tips on how to still do your banking, although there is limited access to bank lobbies.

The Evangeline Bank and Trust Company South Louisiana Regional President Boyd Boudreaux explained that it's important for customers to utilize ATMs, mobile banking, and limiting access to bank lobbies.

"We are encouraging our customers to use our drive thru facilities. We staffed them extra so there is not long waits. Use ATMs, use electronic banking products, our mobile banking, mobile deposits, electronic bill pay. Try to use those products, and if you don't have those, you should get signed up," said Boudreaux.

Various national bank chains are also encouraging their customers to use online services if possible.

Tuesday, JPMorgan Chase confirmed with ABC News that it would temporarily close 1,000 locations across the country. This marks the first major U.S. bank to close some branches because of the COVID-19 outbreak. The closure does not include drive-up facilities.
