GROSS TETE, La. — UPDATE: All lanes are open I-10 East at Mile Marker 138 (before Grosse Tete). Congestion remains 5 miles in length.

The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development say that I-10 East is now closed at Mile Marker 138, which is right before Grosse Tete, due to an accident.
Congestion has reached Ramah and is 4 miles in length.
Motorists are advised to use an alternate route.
