COVID-19 testing happening Friday in Lafayette, St. Martin parishes

COVID-19 testing will take place on Friday, September 25 in Lafayette and St. Martin parishes.

The Region 4 Office of Public Health says that testing began at 8:00 am and will continue until 3:00 pm.

There is no cost to be tested.

On-site registration is available, but pre-registration is encouraged. Those wishing to pre-register can do so at www.DoINeedaCOVID19Test.com.

Anyone 5 years of age and older can be tested.

Officials say that masks must be worn.

The test is a self-administered nasal swab test and results will be available online within 3-5 days.

Lafayette Parish

Lafayette Parish Health Unit
220. W. Willow Street
Lafayette
(first parking lot in the front)

St. Martin Parish

St. Martinville Health Unit
303 W. Port Street
St. Martinville
(parking lot behind the health unit) - testing is drive-thru, but officials say walkups are welcome.
