For the 20th year, Cleco is partnering with several Councils on Aging and other agencies to host its annual Fan Drive for their elderly customers.
The drive provides resources for elderly customers who may be on a fixed income and need help staying cool over these hot summer months.
Due the coronavirus pandemic, Cleco is implementing new safety protocols. Fans and monetary donations will only be accepted by the Councils on Aging offices, and those wishing to donate should schedule an appointment in advance.
The following agencies are NOT open, but are accepting donations by appointment through July 3.

Seniors can request a fan by contacting their local agency and making an appointment. To receive a fan, seniors must be a Cleco customer and 60 years of age or older.
"Our senior citizens are more vulnerable, especially during the summer months," said Ron Smith, Director of Customer Experience with Cleco. "Air conditioners are typically the largest energy users in a home, and raising the thermostat to 78 degrees and using a fan can help the air temperature feel 10 degrees cooler and help reduce energy usage."
The Councils will begin distributing the fans on July 6.
