Last week, Cleco's 20th Annual Fan Drive wrapped up with over 400 fans and $400 being donated to Councils on Aging and other agencies across Cleco's service territory to help the elderly stay cool this summer and reduce their energy usage.
"We moved forward with our fan drive utilizing new safety protocols due to the COVID-19 pandemic, and we believe our efforts paid off," said Ron Smith, director of customer experience. "With company, employee and community support, these agencies have over 400 fans to distribute to our elderly customers, and they can turn the monetary donations into more fans."
The agencies began distributing fans to the elderly by appointment on July 6. To request a fan, seniors should contact one of the agencies below and make an appointment. To receive a fan, seniors must be a Cleco customer and 60-years of age or older.
