Two Lake Charles men have been arrested on charges of carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
Deputies with the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office began investigating on March 23 after they were advised of the incident.
An investigation uncovered that one suspect, identified as 55-year-old Kenneth M. Duplechin had picked up a 14-year-old girl he had just met and brought her to his home. There, according to detectives, the young girl allegedly performed oral sex on Duplechin twice.
The victim told deputies that Duplechin then called his friend, identified at 54-year-old Darren S. Gaspard, to come to his home. Deputies say that once there Gaspard allegedly engaged in sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old.
On April 11, Duplechin and Gaspard were arrested and booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center. Duplechin was booked on two counts of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile and Gaspard was booked on one count of felony carnal knowledge of a juvenile.
Duplechin’s bond has been set at $350,000 and Gaspard’s bond is set at $250,000.
