Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office (CPSO) is seeking information from the public on Debra Kay Hughes, 58, of Monroe.

On Tuesday, September 25, 2018, at 10:00 p.m. deputies were dispatched to the I-210 bridge in reference to an unoccupied Volkswagen Tiguan (SUV) stopped on top of the bridge, according to Kim Myers, spokeswoman for the sheriff’s office.

After further investigation, it was learned the owner of the vehicle is Hughes 58.  She is described as being five feet tall, weighs 100 pounds, with brown hair. Family members advised they last spoke with her during the evening of September 25 prior to deputies finding her car on top of the bridge, stated Myers.

Due to the possibility Hughes may have jumped off of the bridge, the CPSO Marine Division has been diving and patrolling the area since Tuesday night.

The Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office is requesting if anyone has any information related to the possible whereabouts of Hughes, please contact the Calcasieu Parish Sheriff’s Office at 337-491-3605.

CPSO Detective Keeba Barber is the lead investigator on this case.
