Two Jennings residents were arrested on Thursday after an investigation allegedly uncovered the two to be in possession of pornographic images involving children.
Troopers say that 53-year-old Geraldine Stark and 46-year-old Christopher J. Morvant were arrested on charges of possession of images and videos of child pornography. An undercover investigation began in July 2018. A warrant was served on Thursday at a residence in Jennings by State Police, Jeff Davis Parish Sheriff’s Office, and Jennings Police.
Stark and Morvant were booked into the Jeff Davis Parish Detention Center.
State Police say that if the two are convicted they could each face up to a $50,000 fine and up to 20 years in prison with no benefit of parole, probation, or suspension of sentence.
An investigation is ongoing.
