Troopers say they have arrested a man in Lake Charles wanted by Texas authorities for capital murder.
Louisiana State Police say that on August 21, 2018, investigators were informed by the Harris County Sheriff’s Office that a murder suspect out of Harris County was possibly living in Calcasieu Parish.
Through investigation, detectives say they determined the suspect, 49-year-old Darrell Burnside, was living in Lake Charles. On August 22, 2018, Troopers arrested Burnside on active warrants from the Harris County Sheriff’s Office for capital murder.
He was booked into the Calcasieu Correctional Center.
Officials report that on August 23, 2018, investigators from Texas and Louisiana executed search warrants on Burnside’s vehicle and residences in Calcasieu Parish looking for evidence.
