Acadiana book lovers took advantage of today's Blow-Out Book Sale at UL's Hilliard Art Museum.
The annual sale features select titles up to 50% off. Many of the books were by authors from the area.
"We also have a lot of books from local authors," explained Ciel Quebedeaux, Visitor Service Specialist with the museum, "because we carry a lot of books from the UL press. And so having a sale with 20, 30, 50 percent off gives people the opportunity to be able to access this information."
It's just one of the events planned during the Creative Conversation's series for the spring 2020 semester. The series features a weekly program complementary to the current season of exhibitions and provides a cross-disciplinary approach to learning.
The next event will be on Wednesday, January 29, when the Hilliard's Curator of Exhibitions leads a tour of two current exhibits.
